CONTEMPORARY CONNEMARA RETREAT
We converted our garage in 2019 and The Studio was born. This was our first accommodation offering at Fernwood and remains a favourite to our regular guests who still can't believe what you can fit into a 35m2 space! This is contemporary architecture and interior design at its best.
Underfloor heating, polished concrete throughout and many hidden design features in the birch plywood walls, make this a unique and fun space. Every little detail is considered.
There’s a private garden to enjoy your morning coffee or your evening sundowners and a Bang and Olufsen portable speaker to provide the tunes! Why not take a sauna or explore the endless walks throughout the woodland and lakeshore.
Wintertime is just as special as the summer in Fernwood. Draw the blinds, grab a good book and cosy up beside the wood burning stove. (Or stay in the bed and binge on your favourite Netflix series!)

Beautiful connemara colours right outside the window. A gorgeous, calm space to relax in but with a hint of luxury. Just a short drive or walk from the lovely town of Clifden. What wasn't there to love about the studio @ Fernwood? Nothing! It was perfect.

The Studio at Fernwood was exactly how you’d imagine it; and then some!! We were completely in awe of this stunning space. Never have we stayed in such a stylish and cleverly designed space, it was such a treat. The host Anne was an incredible host, and couldnt have done enough for us. Clifden village is only a short distance away, as well as plenty of beaches and the infamous Sky Road. We already cant wait to come back!
