Connemara National Park & Diamond Hill One of our favourite days out... start by hiking Diamond Hill with a path the whole way to the summit making it an accessible climb for all. Afterwards visit the information centre in the National Park and then amble down to Letterfrack for a bite of lunch. You must browse the gorgeous book shop Books at One to pick up something to read for an afternoon spent on Glassilaun beach perhaps....
Cleggan, Claddaghduff & Omey Island This is a gorgeous loop drive with a spin out to the tidal Omey Island being the highlight. You can walk or drive across the strand to the island on low tide but please make sure to check tide times and be very vigilant not to get stranded on the island! After exploring the island have a pint in Sweeneys or continue along the coast to Cleggan for some yummy crab claws in Olivers. There are several beautiful beaches on this coastal stretch with Rossadillisk being one of our favourites. Cleggan is also where you catch the ferry for...
Inishbofin Island This is a glorious day trip which gives you a real glimpse of remote island life. Best way to explore the island is by bike and we particularly love the East End followed by lunch at Inishwallah.
