There is a really great selection of places to eat in Connemara.  Below is a short list of some of our favourites, there are so many it would be impossible to list them all so don't hesitate to ask if you don't find quite what you are looking for here, we are always on hand to offer suggestions!!

Gather @ Fernwood with Katie & Jasper.  Every Thursday evening until the end of May 2026 we will be hosting a pop up dinner in our lovingly restored Booley.  The focus is on amazing local food, even our own beef and lamb, served at shared tables.  As a guest at Fernwood you get priority booking to this already sold out event, so make sure to confirm your seat at this table.  

The Connemara Hamper is a local deli with wonderful takeaway coffee and lunch options.  Perfect for all your picnic needs.

Upstairs Downstairs serves great coffee and sandwiches all day long, eat in our take-out the choice is yours

Mitchell's Restaurant serves some of the best seafood in Clifden and has been doing so for years.  Make sure to book to avoid disappointment.  

Guys Bar is our 'go to' eatery in Clifden.  They serve really good bar food and source as much of their produce as possible locally.  The atmosphere is really fantastic in here.  

Marconi Restaurant @ Foyles Hotel, located on Clifden Main Street.  This is an old favourite of locals and visitors alike.  

Ravis is a wonderful Gastropub, their curry never disappoints.  You will often find fantastic live music to kick off a great evening. 

The Willow Tree is a great buzzy, bistro style restaurant on the square.  Xing always has something new and exciting to try on his great menu.

The Coffee Cottage Roundstone, located on the pier.  James and Aoife's boundless energy and smiles make this a must visit.  Great coffee and superb sandwiches.  Amazing views too!  Bring your pooch for some Instagram love!

Roundstone House Hotel.  The best fresh fish your ever going to eat!  Bar food available daily until 1900 sharp!

O'Dowd's Seafood Bar and Restaurant, Roundstone.  A trip to Connemara is not complete without a visit to O'Dowds, whether it be for a pint on the wall or to taste some of their world famous seafood.

Little Fish, a slightly elevated version of the best fish and chips your likely to have.  Highly recommend.

Olivers in Cleggan is the perfect spot for some fresh fish after a day spent exploring Inishbofin.
