Designed by the brilliant MarMar Architects and built by the talented craftsmen of Mud and Wood, a session in the Fernwood sauna is a truly unique experience.  Perched on stilts and nestled in the trees on the shore of the Salt Lake, it is evocative of a perfect birdhouse.  A true sanctuary.

Our sauna operates at 75°C to 80°C, the one hour sauna slot allows you to gain the full benefits of heat therapy. The cold, river-fed plunge pool offers the most amazing antidote to the sauna and leaves you feeling like a new person!  This will truly make your stay at Fernwood something special and a 1 hour private session will see you relaxed and ready for a superb nights sleep!  Please note there is a minimal charge of €20 per session.
