Glamping with a Difference
Have you ever dreamt of sleeping in the treetops? Waking up to the distant sound of a river, the dawn chorus, wind rustling in the trees. Hearing and feeling all the sounds and senses of nature, but in complete luxury. This is glamping taken to the next level!
This geodesic dome with a difference sits within the canopy, 5 metres off the woodland floor and is completely self contained. Open all year round, featuring a 5-star hotel superking bed, woodburning stove, large rain shower, a fully functioning kitchenette and a large outdoor deck. This bubble dome is the bomb and we actually want to move in ourselves!! If you're a camping enthusiast looking for all the joys of #tentlife but without the hardship, or someone who wants to experience camping for the first time without sacrificing comfort and luxury, this is just the spot for you.
If glamping is not your bag, Fernwood offers a range of unique stays that each connect you to the landscape in their own way. The Stilt House brings the feeling of living among the trees into an architect-designed “super cabin”, elevated above the woodland floor. For something more compact but equally considered, The Bothy showcases clever design at its best, a space that has inspired many guests to rethink what is possible within a smaller footprint.
Wherever you choose to stay, the wider Fernwood experience is there to be explored. Cross our 20-metre woodland rope bridge and wander through over 2km of native woodland trails, with glimpses out across the blanket bog and towards the iconic Twelve Bens. This is a landscape that invites you to slow down, to notice, and to reconnect.
A stay here is not complete without time by the water. Our lakeside sauna and plunge pool offer a chance to fully switch off, whether it is a quiet morning session or an evening wind-down after a day outdoors.

Wow what a spectacular place! The eco dome itself was fabulous and very cosy with the fire. Waking up in the trees in the morning was simply amazing. There’s gorgeous walks in the woods around the eco dome too and it’s a short drive drive /20 minute walk from Clifden. We didn’t want to leave, can’t wait to come back and stay again thank you so much Anne

Anne’s dome is the most gorgeous place we have stayed in Ireland. It’s the perfect escape which makes you feel like you’re secluded from the real world yet Clifden is only a short 4min drive away. Could not fault a thing, Anne and Simon have thought about every last detail which makes this place so special. We can’t wait to return.
